Uniquely designed for Cage Creations, our ramps allow access to lofts that are one grid high above the base. They are delivered in a flat state and made from high quality 4mm and 700gsm correx/coroplast. All you need to do before fitting it into the cage is to fold the sides up. WAIT! What's that? The sides seem harder than you though to fold? Read on.
The unique design of our ramps is that they have 4 heavy gauge wires inserted into the correx across the width. These give the ramp structure and strength making our ramps stronger than any other, similar ramps, available in the UK. Perfect for several guinea pigs to use whilst playing "follow my leader"
The ramp has 10cm (4in) high sides giving extra security to your guinea pig and making them feel safe as they climb up and down. Also, to stop them having a nibble whilst using the ramp they comb with nibble guards on both sides. The nibble guards are removable should you choose to use the ramp without them.
In addition to to the above the ramps have industrial carpet affixed to them to make it easier for guinea pigs to walk up them. However, as good as these are, you can always add a fleece based cover if you wish. They also have a 10cm (4in) flap at the top and come with a couple of velcro coins to affix it to a loft base. You can also use cable ties, if you wish, to fix them to the grids.
We know that correx can be quite plain to look at, and even though big piles of hay are nice for guinea pigs it's not so exciting for the owners.

This was actually for our tortoise. Had to modify slightly, but it works well.
I bought the shorter ramp to introduce a loft area but the base was only 3 panels long. It does state that the sides can be hard to fold up due to the metal rod inserts but I didn't particularly struggle (36f).
I did find the nibble guards a little loose so I don't use them, the boys mostly chew the short sided ends anyway. Having the carpet attached is great for their grip as I struggle to find suitable liners. They were reluctant to use it for the first day but a bit of lettuce and practice changed that.
I do use this with one portal grid to fit my cage length but didn't purchase a recessed base (tried making my own, went wrong). I initially only had a 2x1 loft and the boys had to slow down and crouch to the height of the ramp sides to get between levels.
Buyers, PLEASE use a 2nd portal grid or like me, extra panels to create an open box area so your guinea pigs can zoomie all they like.

Although I've had to return the item due to fit, I wanted to leave a review as the item arrived promptly, was very good quality (far better than the ramp that came with the cage) and the aftercare sales service was very good. I would definitely use Cage Creations again.
Fitted on to an exsisting Kavee cage, much better quality than the ramp I had from the expensive brand, brought to replace theirs which my GPs had eaten! Only slight improvement would be to have the nibble guards tighter as they slide down- but I used some pliers to tighten them up which solved the issue.
Different colours would also be a bonus!
