What's Included

The lofts are available for the Standard 9*9 grids and the BabySafe 22*3 grids. However, the portal grids are only available in 9*9 configuration though due to their positioning in a loft do not pose a problem for babies. 

• Grids: 6 9*9 or 22*3 Black Grids, 2 9*9 Portal Grids** & 12 Black Connectors
  
• Reinforced 700mm or 900mm x 15cm ramp with 10cm sides, nibble guards and industrial carpet base.
• 4mm, 700gsm Waterproof pre-cut and scored Correx Base. 15cm High sides.
• Velcro "coin" tabs for securing the correx corners
• Cable Ties ( Black only available )

Loft Details

The 2x1 Loft Kit is a fantastic addition to your guinea pig setup. It gives an extra area for the guinea pigs to explore and can even be used as a kitchen area for your more adventurous piggies.

Considerations

• Loft areas do not count towards "cage space" when working out how many piggies you can have.
• Older and less adventurous piggies may not go up the ramp.
• Patience may be required whilst your piggies get used to the ramp.

Features

• Recessed ramp: Creates stability, a cosier upper space and means the ramp intrudes less in the cage.
• Reinforced ramp: Unique to the UK, our ramps have 4 or 5, depending on ramp length, heavy gauge wires inserted along the length to give strength and structure.
• Two sizes of ramp available, 700mm or 900mm. Please be aware that the 900mm ramp is not suitable for a 2x3 cage, will leave little room in a 2x4 but are ideally suited for use in 2x5 or 2x6 cages as the angle of the ramp is shallower.
• Portal grids: These allow the ramp to be recessed and easy access for the piggies.
• Custom designed loft base to fit in a recessed loft space.

5 Easy Steps to Attach a Loft

1. Unfold the correx base. Using the velcro affix the corners into place. Done!

2. The 5 top connectors of your base, at the end you will place your loft, need to be rotated 90 degrees so they are in a vertical orientation.

3. Unpack the grids and connectors. Click each grid into a connector top and bottom (OK they can be a little stiff). Repeat, building the loft around remembering to put the portal grids in the base of the loft and front where the ramp will go.

4. Slot the base inside the loft area, can be a tight fit, and then position the ramp and affix with the velcro coins or cable ties.

5. Use cable ties to secure the grids. Not essential but a nice added security measure.

Extra Tip 1: The correx is designed to be a tight and secure fit with our grids. Therefore it will sit on the edges of the connectors. If you find that your grids don't reach all the way around, simply lift the correx on top of the bottom level of connectors or adjust the space in between each grid.

Base Details

Made from high quality waterproof 4mm and 700gsm correx/coroplast, Cage Creations correx bases are the highest quality available. These are pre-scored and cut by professional machinery ensuring clean and precise folds. Supplied with velcro coins to secure the corners.
