Loft Details

This loft base is designed to fit our 2x1 lofts using the portal grids which allows a recessed ramp. The main advantage of this is so that the ramp doesn't extend too far into the cage and is also safer for the guinea pigs. It also creates a nice cosy secure loft space.

When using Portal Grids, which you do need for this type of loft base, you can use one for the base (essential) and then another portal grid at the front of the loft. This allows a door/tunnel to be formed whilst covering the rest of the open space. This makes it much safer. You are able to use a regular grid panel as well if you wish.

This base comes with a SINGLE RAMP access.

Base Details

Made from high quality 4mm and 700gsm correx/coroplast, Cage Creations correx bases are the highest quality available. These are pre-scored and cut by professional machinery ensuring clean and precise folds. Supplied with velcro coins to secure the corners.

Our correx bases are waterproof, sturdy and easy to assemble. With a wipe clean finish they are easy to maintain and keep clean. When using a high quality fleece liner, such as those supplied by CandE Cosies, liquid shouldn't reach the base. However, with lower quality wadding based liners or for those who use woodshavings then an easy clean base is essential.

Happy with the loft, already had c&c grids of my own, did modify myself for the ramp to be able to come off the short edge rather than long edge. Would be good if this was an option. Comes with a chew guard but only one short one for the sloping edge

Loft conversion!

My two piggies live their new ‘loft conversion’ although one is determined to launch herself out of it! Luckily so far I’ve managed to catch her! That’s no fault of the loft though, just a naughty piggie! All in all they love the extra space and have no trouble zooming up and down the ramps! Would strongly recommend for that little bit extra!

excellent, safe and sturdy ramp

I ordered the loft and ramp after the ones I bought back in November from Kavee quickly fell apart. This is a much better quality, the ramp comes with nibble guards and carpet as standard, the sides are also nice and high to give nervous piggies confidence to zoom up and down. The loft is sturdy with high sides for security, making for a cosy space that my piggies love to use. I highly recommend these products, the service, quality and value for money are excellent.
Love the C and E cage liners and accessories too, well worth the initial outlay as they wash over and over again reducing waste. The piggies love to snuggle and the cage is looking really stylish and cosy.

My youngest pair were in desperate need of a new loft as they had eaten most of their old one!! I decided to buy from this company as I love C and E cosies and knew the product would be amazing… and I was right! So so so much thicker than the other one I had which isn’t as tasty for the piggies apparently as they haven’t bitten it once! Amazing 10/10 recommend
