Loft Details
This loft base is designed to fit our 2x1 lofts using the portal grids which allows a recessed ramp. The main advantage of this is so that the ramp doesn't extend too far into the cage and is also safer for the guinea pigs. It also creates a nice cosy secure loft space.
When using Portal Grids, which you do need for this type of loft base, you can use one for the base (essential) and then another portal grid at the front of the loft. This allows a door/tunnel to be formed whilst covering the rest of the open space. This makes it much safer. You are able to use a regular grid panel as well if you wish.
This base comes with a SINGLE RAMP access.
Base Details
Made from high quality 4mm and 700gsm correx/coroplast, Cage Creations correx bases are the highest quality available. These are pre-scored and cut by professional machinery ensuring clean and precise folds. Supplied with velcro coins to secure the corners.
Our correx bases are waterproof, sturdy and easy to assemble. With a wipe clean finish they are easy to maintain and keep clean. When using a high quality fleece liner, such as those supplied by CandE Cosies, liquid shouldn't reach the base. However, with lower quality wadding based liners or for those who use woodshavings then an easy clean base is essential.

- 700gsm - this is the "weight" of the correx. Aim for over 600gsm though the higher the better.
- 15cm (5.9in) sides - Gives guinea pigs a more secure feeling whilst still being able to see what's going on. Ideal for using with fleece liners (recommended) or woodshavings. Lower sides can result in woodshavings escaping from the cage.
